Timeline of Graphic Design Activity
Using the PowerPoint to the right, you are going to make a timeline of the events that helped shaped and evolved to the Graphic Design we know now. You should have a minimum of 20 entries. Make sure your entries are concise and clear to someone unfamiliar with the topic.
You can use Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, or free online timeline builder, Time Graphics. Link is to the right. You will need to create an account for Time Graphics. When you have finished, please save your timeline as last name + first name + period + timeline as a PDF file and turn it in to your teacher. |

Elements & Principles of Design Scavenger Hunt
After reading the notes and doing your vocabulary, complete the Scavenger Hunt found to the right. Start by downloading the worksheet. This will open in Microsoft Word.
You will search the internet for images that represent the categories listed both vertically and horizontally where they line up. You will need to simply drag and drop the image example you wish to use into the Word table. Make sure you adjust the size of your image so your worksheet stays on 1 page. You may ONLY use examples of design that are layouts, print ads, etc....Art or simple designs will not be accepted. Your examples should look like the ones we used in the PowerPoint we reviewed in class. Save the file as Last name + First Name + Period + E&P of Design Scavenger Hunt and turn into your Teacher when you are finished. |

You will be graded on the strength of your argument, grammar and spelling, and use of resources. If you come up with your own topic, ask and you may be able to do that instead.
