Honors Portfolio Final Project
As this is a Honors Level course, each Honors student will create and maintain an electronic digital media portfolio due at the end of the semester. You will create a detailed and well planned portfolio showcasing your work in the Digital Arts. The student may choose to do a developmental portfolio which shows his/her progress or a reflective portfolio. Each piece included on the website should include a description of what the work is and why the student chose to include it in the portfolio so the viewer has some background knowledge about the piece.
You will use your work from Digital Media 1 and Advanced Digital Media. This will include projects for all the units that we have covered: graphics, animation, audio, video, and web design work. You must at least 1 per unit. This portfolio should be updated each time a new project is completed by the student. It should improve as the semester progresses and by the end, should be a professional representation of the student’s work, this can be DM1, DM2, or any other work you are proud of (think drawings, videos, etc..) You portfolio site should be named First Name Last Name Portfolio.MAKE SURE YOU PUBLISH IT REGULARLY! Required Pages to Include: Home Portfolio About Me Contact Honor Project: (see below for more instructions) You will create an honors level project as a demonstration of your skills learned and your passion. Client Honors Project: (see below for more instructions) You will have to complete a project for a client that you will find on your own. These clients can be found here at Wakefield or outside of the school, but CANNOT be someone that lives in your house (ie. parent or sibling). When you meet with your client, you MUST take notes about what they are asking for. Make sure to ask specific questions on things you will need to know to make your job easier, for example what colors or fonts they prefer, do they have a logo they would like you to use. I will also need to see evidence of communication with your client, these can be emails or text message screen shots. These notes MUST be included on your website.
